How Teri Has Achieved Her Meaningful Goals

Teri couldn’t have predicted the impact that working with her personal trainer, Josh McEwen, would have on her life. She says she now has “Josh self-talk” and his training cues in her head saying things like, “tuck your tail,” “proud chest” and “feel the scoop!” Teri started working with Josh intending to commit to 8 weeks. That was more than 2 years ago! Teri came looking for help with muscle imbalances. She had broken her femur and had specific goals for her recovery. Not only did Josh help her with recovering from that injury but, together, Teri was able to achieve other of her meaningful goals. She is able to play complete rounds of golf and can get up and down off the floor easily and pick up her grandchildren.

Patience, creativity and perseverance are 3 of the traits that Teri appreciates most about Josh and his training. Even though they target many of the same muscle groups each session, Josh manages to keep it fresh and fun by making each exercise and training session unique and different. Teri’s workouts are so unique in fact, that other people at the gym watch them and are eager to see what Josh will have for Teri next!

Josh also advised Teri to reduce her sugar and carbohydrate intake. She was skeptical at first, but implemented his recommendation and was pleasantly surprised when the change made such a huge difference in how she felt. Teri spoke at our last quarterly meeting and said that she owes everything to Josh.
